Stay on course beyond reliable cell service with a handheld GPS navigator built for outdoor use. The compact design includes a bright 3.2-inch color screen that remains readable in sunlight.
Physical buttons also make the unit easier to operate outdoors. In addition, the anti-slip design provides a more secure grip on the trail.
The navigator connects with GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS satellite systems. Using several satellite networks can help provide reliable positioning in changing outdoor conditions.
The manufacturer states location accuracy within 6 feet under appropriate conditions. However, actual GPS accuracy can vary based on terrain, satellite visibility, weather, and other conditions.
Record your trip or save important waypoints while you explore. Then, use the stored navigation information to help guide you back toward your starting point.
This feature can be useful for hiking, camping, hunting, backpacking, and other trips where familiar landmarks may be difficult to find.
A built-in 3-axis digital compass provides heading information even while you are standing still. Meanwhile, the barometric altimeter helps you monitor changes in elevation.
Together, these tools give you more information about your direction and surroundings while traveling outdoors.
An IP66 rating provides protection against dust and powerful water jets. Therefore, the unit is designed to handle wet and dusty outdoor conditions.
However, IP66 does not mean the GPS is designed for underwater use or submersion.
A rechargeable battery provides up to 36 hours of operation on a full charge, according to the manufacturer. As a result, you can use the GPS during long days on the trail without frequent charging.
When it is time to recharge, simply connect a standard USB-C cable.
USA topographic maps come preloaded for hiking, camping, and outdoor navigation. The device also provides 32 GB of internal memory for downloading additional map data.
Whether you’re following a trail or adding backup navigation to your emergency gear, this handheld GPS navigator gives you a dedicated navigation tool when a phone may not be enough.
