Description

Reliable 24V Power

The Victron Inverter 24/250 turns 24V battery power into 120V AC power. As a result, it gives you a simple way to run AC devices from a 24V battery system.

This inverter is also built for reliable use. It uses a full-bridge design with a toroidal transformer. In addition, this design has a long track record.

Plus, the inverter has built-in protection. It protects against short circuits and high heat. It can also handle heat caused by an overload or high room temperature.

Power When You Need It

Some devices need extra power when they start. Fortunately, this inverter can help with those loads.

For example, it can start:

  • LED lamp converters
  • Halogen lamps
  • Electric tools
  • Other devices with high start-up needs

As a result, you can use the inverter with a range of common AC loads.

Easy Power Monitoring

The VE.Direct port lets you check the inverter and change its settings. You can connect it to a computer with a VE.Direct to USB cable.

You can also use a phone or tablet. For this option, you need the VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle. Then, you can check system information from Apple and Android devices, MacBooks, and other compatible devices.

You can check:

  • Input voltage
  • Output voltage
  • Load level
  • Alarm status

Set It Up Your Way

You can change several settings to fit your system. For example, you can set the low-battery alarm level.

You can also set the low-battery shut-off and restart levels. In addition, the dynamic cut-off can adjust to the load.

Other settings include:

  • Low-battery alarm
  • Low-battery cut-off
  • Low-battery restart
  • Dynamic load cut-off
  • 50 Hz or 60 Hz frequency
  • ECO mode
  • ECO mode sensing level

This gives you more control over how the inverter works.

Save Power with ECO Mode

ECO mode helps save battery power. When the load drops below the set level, the inverter goes into standby.

The minimum load setting is 15W. While in standby, the inverter checks for a load at set times. The default check is every 2.5 seconds.

You can change the check time as needed. Then, when the load rises above the set level, the inverter turns back on.

So, ECO mode can help reduce battery use when your AC devices are not running.

Remote On/Off

You can also control the inverter with a remote switch. The switch can connect to the two-pole connector.

Another option is to connect it between battery positive and the left-hand contact of the connector. This gives you more choice when you install the inverter.

Simple DC Connection

The DC connection uses screw terminals. Therefore, you do not need special tools for this connection.

The AC output uses a NEMA 5-15R outlet. This is a common 120V outlet for compatible AC devices.

Transfer Power Fast

You may also need to switch from the inverter to another AC power source. For low-power inverters, Victron recommends the Filax Automatic Transfer Switch.

The Filax can switch power in less than 20 milliseconds. Because the switch is so fast, computers and other electronics can keep running with little or no break in power.

A Smart 24V Power Choice

The Victron Inverter 24/250 is a good choice for 24V battery systems. It gives you 120V AC power in a compact unit.

At the same time, you get useful control features. You can monitor the inverter through VE.Direct. Plus, you can use ECO mode to help save battery power.

Built-in protection helps guard the inverter from short circuits and excess heat. With remote control, flexible settings, and easy DC connections, this inverter gives you a simple way to add AC power to a 24V system.
